Each year NC MedAssist hosts an annual charity beer and pancake run event to support its vision that ensures no eligible person in North Carolina has to choose between purchasing food or their needed medication.  NCMedAssist improves the patient’s health and lowers uncompensated health care costs for all stakeholders.

While I have been a board member for several years, this year is special as I am the now the Board Chair for NC MedAssist.  They will be hosting their 8^th annual Pancakes and Beer 5K, Saturday December 11^th at 9 am. I invite you to join Team Novant Health. The event is fun, family friendly but more importantly it helps raise the money needed to serve our neighbors. NC MedAssist roots began with Novant Health!  NC MedAssist launched in 1997 (as MedAssist of Mecklenburg) through the efforts of the Mecklenburg Medical Society Alliance with the assistance of a $55,000 grant from the employees of Presbyterian Hospital. Last year, NC MedAssist dispensed over $63 million in medicines for our patients across the state.
